Twelve hexagrams charting the waxing and waning of yin and yang through the year.
The Twelve Message Hexagrams select twelve of the sixty-four to show yang waxing and waning one line at a time: from Fu, a single yang line returning at the bottom, up to pure-yang Qian, then yin advancing back to pure-yin Kun. Mapped to the twelve months, they trace the year's tidal breath of light and dark.
They unlock change as gradual and quantised — not sudden flips but incremental, line-by-line transformation — binding the binary I Ching to the calendar. Growth and decay become a smooth ramp built from discrete steps: the cosmos counting itself up and down.
