The Earlier Heaven arrangement represents primordial balance and cosmic principles.
The Earlier Heaven Bagua arranges the eight trigrams as perfect symmetry: Heaven at the top, Earth at the bottom, each trigram facing its exact opposite across the centre. It depicts the cosmos as it is in principle — balanced, ideal, before time disturbs it. As three stacked yin/yang lines, the eight trigrams are also the complete set of 2³, the first binary alphabet.
Fu Xi's arrangement unlocks the notion of an ideal order against which the actual can be measured: a still, structural pattern of pure relationship, the blueprint beneath the changing world.
